At Bakker Brothers, we believe it’s never too early to spark curiosity about vegetables and plant breeding. That’s why we were excited to welcome a group of 30 enthusiastic children to our breeding station in Jordan for a fun and educational visit.
During their time on-site, the children had the opportunity to explore our trial fields, discover the many crops we grow, and learn more about what it means to work in vegetable breeding. With a guided tour and interactive moments, they got a firsthand look at how vegetables are developed and selected — and how important this is for the future of global food production.
By engaging with young minds, we hope to create awareness and plant a seed of interest in agriculture, healthy eating, and maybe even future careers in the seed sector. Because today's curiosity might just grow into tomorrow's innovation.
